Welcome to the Cumberland Valley High School Math Organization
The Cumberland Valley Math Orgainization, or CVMO, is a student club in Cumberland Valley HS. Founded in early 1998, CVMO works to provide information and opportunities to students with a keen interest in mathematics.
CVMO has 3 main goals:
- Explore careers in mathematics. This is done in two ways. One, CVMO invites businesses to have an employee who works with math or similar representative to come to a meeting and speak to the members. The other is CVMO visiting companies who use math to actually get a view of the workplace.
- Learn interesting or useful mathematical skills or concepts outside the general curriculum. This is done with lessons and/or problems presented in an entertaining way at some of the meetings.
- Provide service for the rest of Cumberland Valley: CVMO is the perfect place to go if you need help in math or need a tutor.
